I just finished packing my overnight bag, and after I finish writing this I'll be doing some last minute baking for tomorrow's shenanigans. It might be best for the city of Houston to not have a holiday that celebrates gluttony. After all, this is the fattest city in America. But, if there is a feast at hand, I feel it is my duty to contribute something delicious. Gobble gobble!

My sleep schedule is completely backwards again. I went to bed at 9am, woke up at 4:30pm, and finished breakfast by 6pm. This isn't the best schedule to be accustomed to when going to my mother-in-law's house for Thanksgiving. She goes to bed at midnight. I'm usually making my lunch at midnight. See the problem?
I made oatmeal cookies today without using a recipe. They kinda turned out like muffins but it all tastes the same. At least it was fun to make :)
During the fast I ordered tons of food to give to acquaintances as gifts for Christmas...and now I have too much of it. Damn you, Mrs. Beasley's and your truffle cookies! I wouldn't eat it, but it sounded like such a great gift at the time. This is the absolute only 2 minutes of my life where I wish I didn't work at home so I could unload some of these baked goods onto my co-workers.

I put up my Christmas tree today. I know it's way too early but since half of the block already has lights up outside I thought it might be appropriate. And it already has gifts underneath it. I get a warm and fuzzy feeling when I stand by my little tree. And I'm sure in three weeks I'll be sick of looking at it. But for now it will be so delightful.
